  • Boxing Day was a rest day. Tuesday I did a heavy kettlebell session. Tough session – weather was very hot and I I reckon that I was probably feeling the effects of a bit too much rich food and grog over the last few days…

  • Wednesday heavy kettlebell session 45 mins. Thursday gym date night circuit with wife and eldest daughter. Friday 6 km brisk walk with younger daughter. Saturday (Christmas Eve) 50 minutes shuttle runs, boxing, skipping and weights. Hi Adam,

I have tried carb cycling before, but only stick with it for 2 months and during that 2 months i did not see any difference in body composition, nor did my fat was lowered, even though i was @ a deficit of 400 kcal a day on rest day’s and -100 on workout days.

Maybe i should give it another try.

Tuesday…[Read more]

  • Hey Adam,

I really want to say that I have been able to be strong and get things going but I have to admit that I haven’t been able to do as much as I need. I have still been walking and my weight has been able to maintain because of that but I have not been able to do much else. I really need to figure this out again because I was doing really…[Read more]

Just thought I’d check in to see how things have been?

Have you managed to get any training in since we last spoke?

    Hey Gustaaf,

Great to hear from you and even better to hear that you’re back into full training! 😀

It sounds like you would benefit from ‘Carb Cycling’.

In my opinion, this is one of the best ways to balance carbohydrate intake whilst maintaining high energy levels for your training.

If you nail this nutrition strategy (which looks harder…[Read more]

    Hi Adam,

Sorry first for the late reply.
My back is doing ok. It probably will alwasy be a weak point for me, but i am fully back into working out again.

About the food experiment, i could definatly see a great weight loss when lowering carbs, but i stopped doing so, because i felt hungry all the time, even though i was eating more (quantity).…[Read more]

  • Hi Adam,

Well my goal is to get fitter and stronger.

Eventually my goal would be to help others achieving their goals as well. As someone who have come from being far overweight i think i know better how some people feel than most instructors who have been fairly fit their entire life (no offense)

And sharing my story i hope to inspire other…[Read more]

  • Awesome work Scott!

I love reading your posts, they always remind me of why I train myself and why I love exercise.

You hit the nail on the head with ‘breaking the cycle’ if you get stuck outside of your usual routine, sometimes, you’ve just got to go get it done… You’ll always feel better for it afterwards 😀

    Keep the posts coming mate!
